About

Our story

Since 1991: thirty-five years of real people, real issues and a real God.

In 1991, Pastor Kelvin D. Redmond had a vision: to reach people in the Raleigh area who didn't go to church, and to let God's grace touch broken hearts and people looking for an honest relationship with Jesus.

Body of Christ Church began with fewer than ten people. Over the years, God has used this church family to reach thousands of people, with a heart for missions that has carried the gospel from Raleigh to New Orleans and as far as West Africa and Asia.

“If you can't get them in through the front doors of the church on Sunday, cut some back doors and side doors into the church throughout the week.”

— Pastor Kelvin D. Redmond

In October 2026 we celebrated 35 years of God's faithfulness. And we're just getting started.
